Painting with Pixels of Light

First of all, thank you for checking out my website. From a young age, I have always been drawn to artistic expression and the many ways that we can create something beautiful from the mundane. Over the years, I have studied everything from painting and drawing to sculpture, ceramics, and architecture. And while I have long been obsessed with taking photos, for many years I failed to see how capturing an image with a camera had anything to do with creativity. That all changed during a trip to France. By traveling from Paris in the North through Provence in the South, I could see how the lighting and colors changed and what this meant in terms of the photographic techniques required for capturing stunning images. From that point on, I have been constantly experimenting beyond the typical camera settings, composition, and perspective. I have set up an entire studio dedicated to experimenting with color, lighting, and materials to give the viewer a different way of viewing the world around us.

As an Atlanta-based artist, I strive to capture color, light & life in each of my pieces. Using a combination of digital & macro photography, I begin by capturing unique views of nature and architecture. I have also photographed many different subjects, scenes, and moments from all over the world. There's a picture around every corner.

However, capturing an image is only the first part of making something that is truly unique and beautiful. I have many post-processing tools in my arsenal that I use to showcase what comes out of the camera in extraordinary and creative ways. Then I choose the right medium to present the image in just the right way to show their true beauty. For some pieces, they’re vibrantly printed on rich archival paper, then matted and framed. In other cases, I use premium metallic paper to bring out even richer colors in the image, before mounting it to eye-catching materials such as acrylic, wood, or metal. For truly one of a kind works, I also create fine art giclee canvas prints that I then embellish in my studio with acrylic and oil paints.

With that being said, I don't feel that my artistic medium can be described by simply photography or painting. Instead, I paint with pixels of light using a camera, a computer, and even colored pigments applied with a brush. With these tools and an endless imagination, there are no limits to what we can create.

I hope you find some inspiration in my work shown on these pages. Check out the “Available Works” page on this site to see the pieces that I have ready for purchase. Or, if you would like for me to create stunning one-of-a-kind works for your home, office, or business, please feel free to contact me and I would love to work with you. This is truly my passion. Thanks again!
